Angelic Visions is a unique studio that has evolved over the past 26 years gaining experience in the Bridal Industry. My interest in period design has been developing since doing costumes for theater in 1979 in provincial competitions. As as result, I have developed my own interpretations in our designs for formal attire and Wedding Gowns in which we will feature regularly on our site. Having had a shop in Banff, Alta. and then moving to British Columbia, we had to re-establish our business.

Originally located in Banff, Alberta, we arrived in B.C. 13 years ago. Since then we have been honored to have been featured on the cover of West Coast Bridal Guide, music videos for Canadian harpist Lori Papajohn, local newspaper features, numerous fashion shows and fund raisers, and more recently on two Brava presentations on C.B.C.

Through this, we were exposed to clients in theater, music, and S.C.A. groups looking for unique and quality designs. These groups required us to research the history of fashion, recreate it, and design it using only quality fabrics, paying attention to detailing, custom fitting, and tailoring each design to meet their needs.

In the Bridal category there will be designs that will include the roaring twenties period of fashion back to medieval times. Our gowns often feature hand painted fabrics, hand beaded detail, and /or embroidery. We are more than happy to send swatches of the fabrics that a garment is featured in to eliminate uncertainty, and as for hand painted fabrics, we are able to take in consideration color and floral patterns to accommodate a theme.

We pride ourselves on our original designs, superior construction, sizing options, colors and fabric selection. We aim to create unique and original garments that reflect period garments for both men and women, with the advantages of today's modern elements, custom made to order, and we invite you to send us your own ideas. 	November 3, 2008 - Christina King I was recommended to “Joanne” by a friend who used her services for wedding photography. When I first met “Joanne” she instantly felt like a long lost friend. This is when I discovered she also has been making dresses for many years. I told her I purchased my dress and it doesn’t even come close to fitting. It only reached to either shoulder blade and of course does not zip up at all. (However a deal is a deal!) “Joanne” reassured me not to worry that she could make any alterations that were needed, and when she would be done it would look as though the dress came that way. I was thrilled! I was so concerned about being a “ FAT BRIDE” I didn’t want to look as though the dress would tear at the seams cause I was busting out of it. “Joanne” used the shall that came with the dress; she put in a back panel with a lace-up style. She made shoulder straps and attached sleeves. When I was able to put the finished dress on I looked like an Angel. The dress felt so good and so comfortable I remember telling my husband on our wedding night I didn’t want to take it off! Everyone LOVED my dress and believe it or not I looked slimmer in it! Who would have thought a wedding dress could slim you out! “Joanne” was wonderful, she was open to every suggestion I had. She let me know what she thought was a good or bad choice and why. “Joanne” has a way of making you feel comfortable with her; she makes you feel like her studio is your home to. She was there for me in everyway and let me tell you ladies getting married………you’ll need that!
